Muhabura University is a new kind of university for a new Rwanda. It is being established to educate and train the professional talent that Rwanda needs to achieve its Vision 2020 goals and to develop servant leaders with strong character. The initial focus will be in two areas:
Establish an undergraduate program on the 25-acre Musanze campus with outstanding faculty of leadership, business and engineering.
Create certified professional training programs in fields critical to the emerging Rwandan economy in Kigali or where needed.
Servant Leadership is the foundation stone upon which all academics will be built. Students will begin their academic careers in the “Leadership Institute” where core curriculum will be developed to prepare students for degree tracks in business and engineering. The Leadership Institute will administer various aptitude and gift tests in order to guide students into career tracks that best suite their personal strengths and aspirations.
Entrepreneurship is another foundation stone upon which all academics are built. We are educating job creators rather than job seekers.
